District 9350 today
People of Action
A worldwide network of 1.4 million members across 46,000 clubs who use their skills, time and resources to address community needs at home and abroad. In our footprint that’s 60+ clubs and around 1,700 Rotarians + Rotaractors running projects every week of the year.
Service Above Self
Rotary’s motto. Our work is the work of members who decide what their community needs and lead the projects that meet it — medical equipment for under-resourced hospitals, ECD school upgrades, water and sanitation, youth leadership, polio eradication.
Becoming a member
Membership is by invitation through an existing club, but the practical path is: visit a meeting, get to know the work, accept a sponsorship from a current member. Club dues cover meeting costs and Rotary International + district fees; the project work itself is funded by member contributions and the Rotary Foundation. Visit a club — meetings are open to guests.
The Rotary Foundation
The Foundation channels member donations into global grants, district grants, scholarships and the polio-eradication endgame. Every member club in D9350 can apply for grant funding to scale a local project, often jointly with sister clubs overseas. Foundation giving is the strongest leverage member dollars unlock in Rotary.
